Indianapolis, IN – November 6, 2009 – Stock Yards Bank & Trust Company, a subsidiary of S.Y.
Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: SYBT), today announced that it will fund the nationally acclaimed
Senior Crimestoppers program at Altenheim Community, located in Indianapolis. The Senior
Crimestoppers Program works much like a neighborhood watch, where senior facilities with
a strong commitment to safety and security implement increased awareness and a zero
tolerance-to-crime policy. Senior Crimestoppers will provide on going crime prevention
programs to the facility that have been proven to deter incidents of crime in long-term care
and senior housing facilities.

On Friday, November 6 at 10:30 am, Joe Kirsch, Senior Vice President / Indianapolis Executive
of Stock Yards Bank launched the program with a charter presentation to Altenheim
Community, located at 3525 E. Hanna Avenue.
