Franklin, NH – March 10, 2010 - Franklin Savings Bank announced that it will sponsor the nationally acclaimed Senior Crimestoppers Program at Mountain Ridge Center in Franklin.  The charter presentation will take place on Wednesday, March 10th at 2:00 p.m., when Franklin Savings Bank and Mountain Ridge Genesis Eldercare will hold a dedication ceremony at the Mountain Ridge Center, 7 Baldwin Street in Franklin.

The Senior Crimestoppers Program works much like a neighborhood watch where senior facilities with a strong commitment to crime prevention implement increased awareness and reemphasize a zero tolerance policy. The program will provide ongoing crime prevention programs to these facilities designed to deter incidents of crime in long-term care and senior housing facilities.  Benefits of the program include:
-personal lock boxes provided for use by residents and/or family members of a resident
-cash rewards paid for anonymous information about crime incidents
-24/7 call center tips line
-ongoing education promoting zero tolerance to crime

"We are delighted to be chosen by Franklin Savings Bank for this wonderful community outreach program," stated Karen Painter, Administrator of Mountain Ridge Center. "Thanks to Franklin Savings Bank, we now know of the program benefits and the outstanding results received by sponsored facilities in other states. Our residents, families and staff are grateful for the safety and peace of mind this opportunity provides," she concluded.
